Title: Kakawin Sabha Parwa: Suntingan Teks, Telaah Struktur, Dan Hubungan Antarteks

Abstract: There are three KSP manuscripts applied to text edition, they are manuscript of Madhura Saraswati collection (manuscript A), manuscript of Dokbud (manuscript B), and manuscript of Gedong Kirtya (manuscript C). One of them, manuscript A, is found as the original one (otograf). Therefore, in the text edition, manuscript A directly becomes the base manuscript by using diplomatic edition. So, in the text edition, manuscript A publication without any changes except its transliteration into Latin character because the manuscript A is written into Bali's character. The product of the text edition that has been translated into Indonesian literally and idiomatic translation method. Then, KSP will be analyzed by approaches on the formal kakawin, narrative structure, and intertextuality. Based on formal structure and narrative structural approaches have shown that KSP is between conventions and innovations. Conventionally when the KSP is still following general formal structures of kakawin, whereas in the innovational method, it would be in the form of the addition of new metrics which has never occurred in the Indian, k„via,and literature or in the old Javanese metrics. Those metrics consists of 17 syllables with composition: u--/ u--/ u-u/ uu-/ uu-/ uu. Besides, narrative structures which are usually consists of manggalas, corpus, and epilogs, there are only manggala, and corpus that will be met in KSP. The narrative structures indicated a totality story wich are reflecting the theme of KSP, where are saying about the dharmas„stra doctrine. The doctrines conveyed by the poet is aimed to make the community (reader) be always well-mannered in their life. The doctrine of dharmas„stra, is taken from several sources for example Manawa Dharmas„stra, Bhagawad Gita, Sarasamuscaya, Nitis„stra, Kakawin R„m„yana, and Kakawin Arjunawiw„ha. The whole story of KSP supported by of the existing relationships of a plot and characters which are togetherly are supporting the theme. Besides, a totality story is supported by cosmological and geographical sets. The intertextual analyses indicates the existence of language codes transformations, from Indonesian to the old Javanese texts and literary codes transformations, from literary prose codes to kakawin literary codes that are also found in this analyses. The text transformation happen as elimination episodes of the story, changes of characters, and using of alamkara. The transformations of the texts are done in expansion, modification, ekserpt, and synthesis between expansion and modification. The KSP as transformations of several sources is saw in the way of life which is intended by the poet following on dharmas„stra doctrines.
Description: Ada tiga buah naskah yang digunakan untuk menyunting teks KSP, yakni naskah koleksi Puri Madhura Saraswati, (Naskah A), naskah Dokbud (naskah B), dan naskah Gedong Kirtya, (naskah C). Di antara ketiga naskah itu, naskah A merupakan otograf. Oleh karena itu, dalam edisi teks naskah A langsung dijadikan dasar penyuntingan dengan menerapkan metode edisi diplomatik. Dalam edisi ini naskah A diterbitkan tanpa mengadakan perubahan, kecuali transliterasi ke dalam huruf Latin karena naskah A ditulis dalam huruf Bali. Teks hasil suntingan diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan metode terjemahan harfiah dan idiomatik. Selanjutnya, teks KSP dikaji berdasarkan pendekatan struktur formal, struktur naratif, dan hubungan antarteks. Berdasarkan pendekatan struktur formal dan struktur naratif, KSP berada antara konvensi dan inovasi. Secara konvensional, KSP mengikuti struktur formal kakawin pada umumnya, tetapi di sisi lain terjadi inovasi berupa penambahan metrum model baru yang belum pernah dijumpai sebelumnya, baik dalam k„via India maupun dalam metrum Jawa Kuna. Metrum itu terdiri atas 17 suku kata dengan komposisi guru-laghu: u--/ u--/ u-u/ uu-/ uu-/ uu. Selain itu, struktur naratif yang biasanya tediri atas manggala, corpus, dan epilog, dalam KSP hanya ditemukan manggala dan corpus. Analisis struktur naratif menunjukkan adanya keutuhan cerita yang mencerminkan tema KSP, yaitu ajaran dharmasastra. Ajaran itu disampaikan penyair agar pembaca santun dalam menjalani kehidupan ini. Ajaran itu diambil dari beberapa sumber, seperti Manawa Dharmasastra, Bhagawad Gita, Sarasamuscaya, Nitisastra, Kakawin R„m„yana, dan Kakawin Arjunawiw„ha. Keutuhan cerita KSP ditunjang oleh adanya jalinan unsur alur dan penokohan yang secara bersama-sama menunjang tema. Selain itu, keutuhan cerita juga didukung oleh unsur latar, baik yang bersifat kosmologis maupun geografis. Dalam kajian hubungan antarteks ditemukan adanya perubahan kode bahasa, dari bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Jawa Kuna dan perubahan kode sastra, dari kode sastra prosa ke kode sastra kakawin. Perubahan teks terjadi seperti penghilangan episode cerita, perubahan penokohan, dan pemakaian alamkara. Perubahan itu dilakukan dengan cara ekspansi, modifikasi, ekserp, dan perpaduan antara ekspansi dan modifikasi. KSP sebagai transformasi dari berbagai hipogram menunjukkan suatu pengukuhan pandangan hidup penyair yang berlandaskan ajaran dharmasastra.
