Pembahasan difokuskan pada bagaimanakumpulan cerpen ini menggambarkan kenyataan yang pernah terjadi pada masa Orde Baru. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sosiologi sastra konsep Ian Wattdan berfokus kepada sosiologi karya. Pengunaan teori ini terdiri dari pengumpulanperistiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi di dalam kumpulan cerpen Penembak Misterius. Peristiwa-peristiwayang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen itu merupakan cermninan peristiwa-peristiwayang terjadi pada masa Orde Baru. Dalam unsur-unsur tersebut penelitimenganalisis hal yang berkaitan satu sama lain. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa dalam cerpen-cerpen Penembak Misterius,Kekerasan dijalankan atas alasan keamanan negara. Aparat pemerintah digunakan untukmenjalankan kekerasan itu. Kekerasan yang dilakukan menghasilkan dampak terhadapmasyarakat baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Mereka mengalami ketakutan danketidakpercayaan kepada penguasa Orde Baru. This skripsi entitled "The State Hardenesses of Penembak Misterius Short Story collection by Seno Gumira Ajidarma". The Solution focuss on how this short story collection show the fact which happened in Orde Baru period. The Theory which is used in this research is sociology of literature theory which focuss to masterpiece sociology. This utilizing Theory consist of roundup the events which happened in mysterious shooter’s short story collection, the events which contained in that short story collection, adaptable with the events which happened in Orde Baru period. In that elements, the writer have analyzed the things which connected to each other. The Result of the analysis showed that in mysterious shooter’s short story, the hardeness and the situation of Orde Baru society become the core of in its narrating. The Hardeness which happened is running plane and conducting by arbiter of Orde Baru Soeharto, that hardeness is agreed on and conducting with the reason of state security. The Governmental agencies are used to conducting that hardeness. The hardeness which being conduct are effective to descendants the degrees of the crime, but the community that experiencing the indirect and also the direct of the hardeness are caused by the fear and incredulity to arbiter of Orde Baru.
