Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui tipe-tipe kepribadian menurut tipologi kepribadian Eduard Spranger. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Analisis struktural bertujuan menganalisis unsur struktur novel ini. Teori tipologi kepribadian digunakan untuk mengetahui perilaku para tokoh yang dapat digolongkan ke dalam manusia teori, manusia sosial, manusia ekonomi, dan manusia kuasa. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan keadaan kepribadian tokoh Adelia yang lebih didominasi oleh tipe manusia teori, keadaan kepribadian tokoh Pratiwi yang lebih didominasi oleh tipe manusia sosial, keadaan kepribadian tokoh Arfian yang lebih didominasi oleh tipe manusia ekonomi, dan keadaan kepribadian tokoh Hana yang lebih didominasi oleh tipe manusia kuasa. Pengelompokan tersebut diketahui dari perilaku setiap tokoh dalam menjalankan kehidupannya sehari-hari. ABSTRACT This minithesis entitled “The Personality Types of Characters in the Novel Serpihan Mutiara Retak (the Shards of Cracked Pearl) by Nina Pane: the Study of Spanger’s Personality Structural and Typology†. This study focused on understanding the types of personality according to Eduard Spranger’s typology. The method used in this study is descriptive method by theory. The structural analysis is intended to analyse the elements of structure of the novel. The theory of personality typology is used to get onto the characters’ behaviour that can be categorized into theoritical man, social man, economy man, and power man. The results show that the character personality of Adelia is dominated more by the type of theoritical man, character personality of Pratiwi is dominated more by the type of social man, character personality of Arfian is dominated more by the type of economy man, and character personality of Hana is dominated more by the type of power man. The categorization is seen in accord with the behavior of each character in their daily life.NINA PANETIPOLOGISPRANGER
