This research is conducted toward farmers registered as members of agribusiness organization (farmer group union which has been received the Rural Agribusiness Development Program since 2008) in Sukabumi region. This research was aimed at: 1) analyzing the influence of social capital toward farmer’s institition performance, 2) analyzing the influence of farmer’s institition performance toward the output of the program, 3) analyzing the influence of social capital and farmer’s institition performance toward the output of the program, and 4) designing a social capital development model of farmer’s institition based on government program in Sukabumi region. The data required were primary and secondary data. Sampling was conducted by applying Cluster Random Sampling and Propotional Stratified Random Sampling, on which the sample were farmers and key informants. The data collected was analyzed by means of qualitative descriptive approach and quantitative analysis applying the analysis of Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The result of the research shows that: 1) social capital positively influences the farmer’s institition performance, 2) farmer’s institition performance positively influences the output of the program, 3) social capital and farmer’s institition performance positively influence the output of the program, and 4) a design of social capital development model of farmer’s institition based on government’s program in Sukabumi region is obtained. It is found that there is no dominant indicator out of all indicators on social capital and farmer’s institition performance; nevertheless, all of which influence positively toward the output of the program. All indicators of social capital need to be reinforced, particularly on the lowest social capital in terms of collectivity level and awareness of social capital, while social participation is found to give highest contribution value. The reinforcement of social capital can be implemented through various training of improvement of social capital, such as achievment motivation training, by involving all members and committees of the farmer’s institition as well as the program counterpart so that the success of the program can be achieved.Model pengembangan modal sosialkinerja kelembagaan petanikeberhasilan program
