Item GEOMORFOLOGI SEBAGAI RESPON DINAMIKA HIDRO-OCEANOGRAFI DI PESISIR BALONGAN, KARANGAMPEL KABUPATEN INDRAMAYU JAWA BARAT(2014-09-08) ABDUL WAHIB; Emi Sukiyah; WinantrisABSTRACT Coastal shoreline changes should be given serious attention, because the impact of the changes is felt will greatly affect the development of public welfare activities. An evaluation of the morphology of the coast (coastline) still needs to be done from time to time to determine the extent of the changes whether it is still on the limits that can be tolerated or not. This research was done for knowing the aspects of influential hydro-oceanography in the formation of coastal geomorphology of coastal areas in Balongan. This research aims is to determine the response characteristics of geomorphology as hydro-oceanographic dynamics that affect the coastal rehabilitation in Balongan and surrounding area, as well as designing rehabilitation as a result of the influence of coastal geomorphology in Balongan and surrounding coastal areas. The method used are through secondary data collection and analysis of oceanographic and meteorological parameters; determination of the topography of the coast; observations of currents, waves, wind speed, and water sampling; float tracking and observations. From this study showed that the role of the energy flux in the bottom sediments and floating condition in coastal beach areas Balongan indicated by a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.747 (strong), the role of the energy flux in the basic condition of sediment transport and float was 55.8% , in the tidal waters of Pertamina Balongan Indramayu is predominant mixed type double (happened twice ups and downs within 24 hours) with a maximum water riding of 1.07 m. Maximum speed and average flow measured at fixed observation station (7 m depth) was 0,117 m / sec to the south and the dominant direction was southeast to northwest. The observation of float tracking (trajectory flows in a depth of 3 m) and flows parallel to the coast (the current trajectory in depth from 0.5 to 1 m) around the Jetty area Propilene showed that traces the trajectory of the general flow was strongly influenced by the ebb and flow conditions. Special to shore parallel currents, decreasing the flow velocity toward the shoreline, where the flow velocity of 100 m was greater than 75 m is greater than 50 m. Prices maximum significant wave height that occurs, and the potential for high wave (above 0.5 m) during the study was approximately 5.8%. From the study it can be concluded that there was influence of geomorphology in response to hydro-oceanographic dynamics of the coastal rehabilitation in Balongan and the surrounding coastal areas.
