Item KARAKTERISTIK RADIOLOGIS INFEKSI SALURAN KEMIH PADA ANAK DI RUMAH SAKIT HASAN SADIKIN(2023-02-19) PANDU EKA BIMANTARA; Rini Rossanti; Ahmedz WidiastaObjective: To describe the radiological picture in children with urinary tract infection (UTI) Methods: We analyzed the medical records of children with UTI between 2019–2021 period at Hasan Sadikin Hospital who performed radiological examination including ultrasound, renal computerized-tomography scan (CT-scan), mictio-cystouretrography (MSU), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Demographic and radiological characteristics of the patients were analyzed. Results: Out of 74 patients with abnormalities, 45.9% was registered in 2019. The median age of the patient is 1–3 years old whom male patient made the most. 98.6% patients underwent ultrasonography. Thickening of the bladder, hydronephrosis, and other abnormalities i.e., duplicating of ureter, vesico-ureteral reflux, and duplicating of collecting system were found in 54, 17, and 6 patients respectively. Conclusion: Urinary tract infection was more common in children aged 1–3 years, particularly in boys. The abnormalities of the renal ultrasound was evidence in renal ultrasonography. Thickening of the bladder is detected in more than half of the children followed by hydronephrosis and other abnormalities.
