Penelitian ini dilakukan di pantaiPamipiran,DesaKertajaya,KecamatanSimpenanKabupatenSukabumiuntukpenanamanrumputlautkappaphycusalvareziidan di laboratoriumBioteknologiPerikanandanlmuKelautanUniversitasPadjadjaranpadabulanAgustus �Oktober 2013. Penelitianinibertujuan untuk mengetahuilajupertumbuhanrumputlautdankandungankaraginanjenis Kappaphycusalvareziipadaberbagaikedalaman.Metode yang di gunakandalampenelitianiniadalahmetodeeksperimentaldenganperbedaanjarakkedalamanyaitu1 m, 2 m, dan 3 m. Parameter yang diamati adalahlaju pertumbuhan, kandungankaraginandankualitas air seperti suhu, salinitas, pH, kecerahan dan kecepatan arus. Analisis data terhadap peubah pertumbuhan rumput laut masing-masing perlakuan digunakan analisis sidik ragam kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Ujiduncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukanbahwaNilai rata-rata pertumbuhantertinggidiperolehpadakedalaman1 m di mingguke 6yaitudenganberat rata-rata 529 gramdanhasilekstraksikaaginandidapatkannilaitertinggipadakedalaman 1 m sebesar 24,11%. Hasilanalisis ragamujiduncan menunjukan bahwa perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadaplaju pertumbuhan.Hasil rata-rata pertumbuhanspesifikrumputlautKappaphycusalvarezii yang tertinggidiperolehpadakedalaman 1 myaitupadaminggu ke-6denganstandardeviasi (45,22) dankoefisienragamnya 0,977577 halinisangatterlihatberbedanyatapadataraf 1%.Sedangkankisaran parameter kualitas air yang diperoleh selama penelitian masih dalam batas kelayakan yaitu suhu 29-310C, pH 8-8,5 g/L, kecerahan 2-3 m, salinitas 29-30 ppt, dan kecepatan arus nya yaitu 34-40 cm/det. Effect of Difference Distance Depth Against Seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii Growth and Gynecology Carragenan In Pelabuhan Ratu Gulf waters . This research was conducted in the coastal village of Kertajaya Pamipiran Sukabumi District of Simpenan for planting seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii and Biotechnology Laboratory Marine Fisheries Padjadjaran University in August-October 2013. This study aims to determine the growth rate and the content of carrageenan seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii types at various depths . The method used in this study is an experimental method with the difference that the depth distance of 1 meters, 2 meters, and 3 meters . Parameters measured were growth rate , and the carrageenan content of water quality such as temperature , salinity , pH , brightness and speed of flow . Analysis of data on the growth of seaweed variables each treatment used analysis of variance followed by a Duncan test . The results showed that the average value of the highest growth was obtained at a depth of 1 meters at week six is the average weight of 529 grams and extraction of carrageenan obtained the highest value at a adepth of 1 m at 24.11 % . Duncan test results of analysis of variance showed that the treatment had a significant influence on the rate of growth . The results of the average specific growth rate of seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii the highest obtained at a depth of 1 meter is atweek six with a standar deviation (45,22) and the coefficient of 0,977577 manifold so it lokks significantly different at the level of 1% . While the range of water quality parameters obtained during the feasibility study is still in the range 29 - 310C temperature , pH 8-8.5 g / L , the brightness of 2-3 m , salinity 29-30 ppt,and its current velocity is 34-40 cm/sec. .
