Item Treatment Pattern of Children & Adults Ambyopia in Indonesias Tertiary Eye Hospital(2023-02-17) ADARA DESRAMA EARLANI; Rova Virgana; Karmelita SatariBackground: Amblyopia is the most common cause of decreased visual acuity in children and people aged less than 60 years. Treatment option for refractive errors in children and adults including glasses, contact lenses, occlusion, and refractive surgery. This study was conducted to determine the treatment pattern of amblyopia in children and adult patients at the National Eye Center of Cicendo Eye Hospital in 2021. Methods: This research was conducted from 13 July - 15 August 2022 using a cross-sectional study design and secondary data collection through electronic medical records. The accessible population in this study were children patients (6 months-18 years) and adults (19-60 years) with a diagnosis of amblyopia who came to the National Eye Center of Cicendo Eye Hospital in 2021. The study subjects were chosen from the accessible population who met the inclusion criteria with total sampling method (n=518). Data analysis using SPSS verse 26. Result: In this study, the highest percentage of glasses was given to children in the age range of 6-12 years (40.9%), the percentage of LASIK was mostly given to adults in the age range of 25-44 years (30.3%). The percentage of glasses was mostly found in men (51.2%). Based on the severity of amblyopia, the most commonly given treatment was glasses (3.1%) Conclusion:. Most of the treatment given to amblyopia patients at the National Eye Center, Cicendo Eye Hospital in 2021 are glasses in children and LASIK in adults.
