Item SUKSESI FASIES FORMASI RAMBATAN SEBAGAI RESPON SEDIMENTASI DAN TEKTONIK PADA MIOSEN SAMPAI PLIOSEN DI KALI RAMBATAN, BREBES, JAWA TENGAH(2023-12-07) BERNADETA SUBANDINI ASTUTI; Adjat Sudradjat; Vijaya IsnaniawardhaniIn the North Serayu Zone, Central Java, deep sea sediment extend west- east. The deep-sea fan sediment of Rambatan Formation (west) is equivalent to the tidal sediment of Merawu Formation (east). A detailed rock succession study was carried out in the type locality of Rambatan Formation on Rambatan River, Pamulihan, Brebes, Central Java. This research aims to determine the period of formation, reconstruct the rocks succession of Rambatan Formation at the type locality, based on field and laboratory observations, as well as find out the role of tectonics during the sedimentation of Rambatan Formation. The stratigraphic measurement field method was carried out on 7 tracks (ie: Pamulihan-1, Pamulihan-2, Cikeusal, Kamal Tiga, Kamal Dua, Jati Satu and Jati Dua) and integrated with paleontological and petrographic analysis. Based on stratigraphic and biostratigraphy reconstructions, Rambatan Formation was formed from N9 (Lower Miocene) to N20 (Pliocene, which can be divided into 2 main groups, namely: Middle Miocene (N9-N14), and Upper Miocene to Pliocene (N17-N20) rock succession. A time gap occurred at N15-N16. The Middle Miocene rocks characterize facies C, as a product of turbidity currents in the outer fan. A scour field intersects the rock layer, which is interpreted as a channel. Upper Miocene rocks (N17-N18) characterized facies F, as channel fill and debris flow deposits in the inner fan. Mio-Pliocene (N19-N20) rocks characterize facies C, as a turbidite product in the outer fan. This study identified the relative sea level changes and tectonics play a role during the sedimentation of Rambatan Formation, which is also marked by change of stress direction.
