Abstract
ABSTRAK
Perawatan endodontik bertujuan untuk menjaga fungsi gigi dalam
lengkung rahang. Beberapa penelitian menyatakan bahwa kegagalan perawatan
endodontik seringkali disebabkan kegagalan restorasinya dibandingkan dengan
kegagalan perawatan endodontik itu sendiri.
Syarat intervensi minimal dalam konservasi tidak menjadi prioritas dalam
preparasi akses. Akses preparasi membutuhkan pembuangan atap kamar pulpa
yang merupakan pemersatu dinding-dinding kavitas, mengakibatkan gigi menjadi
lebih rentan terhadap fraktur.
Kehilangan struktur gigi dalam jumlah besar akan mengurangi kekuatan
dari gigi, karena itu restorasi yang digunakan untuk menggantikan struktur gigi
yang hilang harus tepat dan dapat bertahan dalam jangka waktu lama pada gigi.
Hal ini menyebabkan pemilihan restorasi setelah perawatan endodontik menjadi
sangat penting.
Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan perawatan endodontik
adalah restorasi setelah perawatan endodontik yang adekuat. Restorasi gigi setelah
perawatan endodontik sangat bergantung pada sisa jaringan gigi sehat yang
tersisa, sehingga diharapkan klinisi dapat memilih jenis restorasi yang sesuai pada
gigi setelah perawatan endodontik agar didapatkan hasil yang optimal dari
perawatan endodontik.

ABSTRACT
The aim of endodontic treatment was to maintain the function of teeth in
the arch. Some studies suggest that the failure of endodontic treatment is oftenly
caused mainly by failure of restoration than endodontic treatment itself.
Minimum intervention in terms of conservation is not a priority in access
preparation of access. Access requires banishment of roof preparation, resulting
in more susceptible to fracture.
Loss of tooth structure in bulk will reduce the strength of tooth, because its
restoration used to replace missing structure must be appropraite and may persist
for a long time on the tooth. This led to selection of restoration is very important.
There are several requirements for restoration can survive in long term.
One of factors that influence the success of endodontic treatment is the
adquate restoration. Clinicians are expected to choose the appropriate type of
restoration on tooth after endodontic treatment, in order to obtain optimal results
of endodontic treatment.
