Abstract
ABSTRACT
Kutai Basin which located in Eastern Kalimantan stored a lot of abundant
natural resources such as: coal deposit which has big potential to be one of
energy resources.
In coal mining process, estimation of mineable deposit can be estimate by
calculation and analyst base on detailed exploration which is drilling and
mapping, calculation of coal deposit conducted in order to determine how much
of coal deposit can be mined based on stripping ratio, this information will help to
make a fine decision for the economic reason
In a mine exploration, in drilling process there is called borehole
deviation, borehole deviation is a deviation dip of the borehole from the target
dip. Conducting a survey on the dip of a borehole will contribute important
parameter data to improve the accuracy of the calculation of reserves, the
accuration to estimate coal reserve will improve. Digital electronic sensor
Gyroscope, Accelerometer and heading sensors (digital compass) can help to get
the value of the dip and azimuth in a borehole
