Abstract

Field research is administratively located in Lebong, Bengkulu Province. The geothermal system in the study area is a high terrain system. This field is dominated by volcanic rock lithology and a geothermal field with the water dominated system. The object of research in this study is the geochemical characteristics of the surface manifestation to know the characteristics of geokima, fuida flow pattern and model describes the geothermal system. The method used in this research is ion balance calculation, geothermometer and structure analysis. The occurring manifestation is sulfate hot spring and fumaroles. Hot springs that come to the surface have a high temperature almost 1000C with the type of water are sulfate, bicarbonate, and chloride water, while the fumarole occurrence is predicted as a result of the heating of meteoric water by the hot steam. Geothermometer calculation results show this field has a high enthalpy geothermal systems with a temperature 216 - 2600C. The results show that the structural analysis of manifestation arises due to tectonic activity that works in the area of research. Based on the characteristics, research area has 176MW of prospect zone.
