This research used descriptive quantitative with a sample of 230 respondents taken using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire that was made by the researcher with the results of the test validity of the instrument > 0.361 with reliability 0.857. Data were analyzed univariately with the results of frequency distribution of characteristics and perceptions. The results showed that most respondents had negative perceptions (51.7%), negative perceptions results based on the cognitive component (50.4%), the affective component (51.7%) and the conative component (64.8%). This negative perception was because the respondent did not know about the IVA test, had a poor attitude towards the IVA test and behaved poorly to carry out the IVA test. These negative perceptions can be changed through health education regarding the IVA test, so that knowledge is expected to increase and change perceptions towards the positive.
