dc.description.abstract	ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Representasi Kapitalisme dalam pidato To Build The World Anew oleh Soekarno di PBB pada tanggal 30 September 1960. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana Kapitalisme direpresentasikan oleh Soekarno dan juga bagaimana kuasa dan pola akses yang dimiliki oleh Soekarno dalam merepresentasikan Kapitalisme. Untuk mengetahui bentuk kuasa serta pola akses yang dimiliki Soekarno dalam merepresentasikan Kapitalisme dalam pidatonya, penelitian ini menganalisis pidato Soekarno menggunakan tataran makro dan mikro Analisis Wacana Kritis model van Dijk. Analisis kuasa pada tataran makro dilakukan dengan menjabarkan terlebih dahulu identitas lalu menentukan analisis pola akses yang meliputi planning, setting, controlling communicative events, scope and audience control. Kemudian, analisis kuasa pada tataran mikro dilakukan dengan analisis struktur makro (melalui headline dan lead), analisis superstruktur (skematik), dan analisis struktur mikro, yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan instrumen-instrumen linguistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Soekarno tidak memiliki akses penuh terhadap perencanaan. Namun, sebagai presiden, ia memiliki akses tertinggi untuk menyampaikan gagasannya di forum internasional. Soekarno juga tidak memiliki akses penuh terhadap setting karena tempat,waktu,jumlah delegasi diatur oleh PBB. Selanjutnya, Soekarno memiliki akses untuk mengendalikan komunikasi dan cakupan audiens karena pidatonya bersifat monolog sehingga tidak ada kesempatan bagi audiens untuk berkomentar. Kemudian pada tataran mikro; analisis struktur makro menunjukkan Soekarno menggunakan kuasanya dalam merepresentasikan Kapitalisme, kuasa Soekarno ditunjukan lewat representasi Kapitalisme (tepatnya pada headline dan lead). Pada superstruktur, representasi ditunjukkan lewat strategi penempatan pernyataan-pernyataan implisit dan pernyataan-pernyataan eksplisit yang mengandung positive-self presentation dan penggunaan strategi negative-other presentation untuk menonjolkan representasi negatif Kapitalisme. Lalu pada struktur mikro, representasi ditunjukan lewat strategi-strategi penulisan perspectives, implications, dan level of description and degree of completeness. Kata kunci: Representasi, Kapitalisme, kuasa, akses, Analisis Wacana Kritis ABSTRACT The research is entitled "Representation of Capitalism in To Build The World Anew speech by Soekarno at the United Nations on 30 September 1960.” This research discusses about how capitalism is represented by Soekarno and also how power and access patterns held by Soekarno in representing Capitalism. To determine the Soekarno’s form of power and patterns of access in representing capitalism in his speech, this research analyzed the speech by using macro and micro level of Critical Discourse Analysis model of van Dijk. Analysis of power at the macro level was done by describing the identity at first and determined the access pattern which included planning, setting, controlling communicative events, scope and audience control. Then, at the micro level, power analysis performed with the macro-structure (with headline and lead), the analysis of the superstructure (schematic), and analysis of microstructures, which were analyzed using linguistic instruments. The results showed that Sukarno did not have full access to planning. However, as president, he had the highest access to his ideas at international forum. Soekarno did not have full access to the settings for the place, the time,and the number of delegates organized by the United Nations. Furthermore, Sukarno had access to control communication and audience scope because the speech was a monologue so no chance for the audience to give a comment. Then, at the micro level; macro structure analysis showed that Soekarno used his power in representing capitalism, the power of Sukarno was shown through representation of Capitalism (exactly the headline and lead).In the superstructure, the power indicated by the placement strategy of some implicit and explicit statements that contained positive-self presentation and the use of negative-other presentation strategies to accentuate the negative representation of Capitalis. Then, on the microstructure, the power was shown through the writing strategies of perspectives, implications, and the level of description and the degree of completeness.
