ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berjudul “Resistensi Tokoh-tokoh Perempuan terhadap Kuasa Patriarki dalam Novel Le bal des folles Karya Victoria Mas”. Tujuan disusunnya penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan resistensi yang dilakukan oleh tokoh- tokoh perempuan terhadap kuasa patriarki, juga mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk perubahan perilaku dan sudut pandang para tokoh perempuan menghadapi opresi dan objektifikasi yang terjadi kepada mereka. Metode yang digunakan penulis adalah metode analisis deskriptif. Peneliti mengumpulkan dan menguraikan data tentang bentuk-bentuk resistensi. Dalam skripsi ini, penulis menggunakan teori feminis eksistensialis Simone de Beauvoir, teori perlawanan Scott, dan teori patriarki Sylvia Walby. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat ketidakadilan gender akibat budaya patriarki yang dianut oleh masyarakat Paris abad ke-19. Tokoh-tokoh perempuan melakukan resistensi untuk mendapatkan hak-haknya dan mempertahankan martabat mereka.

ABSTRACT
This research is titled "The Resistance of Female Characters to Patriarchal Power in Victoria Mas` Novel Le bal des folles". The purpose of this research is to describe the resistance carried out by female characters against patriarchal power, as well as to identify forms of changes in behavior and perspectives of female characters facing oppression and objectification that occur to them. The method used by the author is descriptive analysis method. Researchers collect and describe data about forms of resistance. In this thesis, the author uses Simone de Beauvoir`s existentialist feminist theory, Scott`s resistance theory, and Sylvia Walby`s patriarchy theory. This research proves that there is gender injustice due to the patriarchal culture adopted by 19th-century Parisian society. Female characters resist getting their rights and maintaining their dignity.
