ABSTRACT
This thesis entitled “The Speech Act Analysis Of Illocutionary Criticism And Advise Of The Website agoda.com: A Pragmatic Study” This research, explained the illocutionary speech acts contained in the website agoda.com based on Searle`s theory. The background of this research is to shows the kind of illocutionary speech acts on agoda.com site and any other kind of markers of the speech act. This study used qualitative methods because the writer tried to describe the kind of illocutionary speech acts that used by speakers. The Techniques of this research consist of note techniques. Note technique is used by describing the comments into the classification of types of illocutionary speech acts. The results showed that speakers of speech acts use assertive and expressive. In an assertive found among the 33, 11 data is assertive states, 11 data is reported assertive, and 11 data is assertive speak. In the directive found 10 data and 8 data is directive suggesting, 2 data is direct pointing, and 2 data directive asking. In the commissive speech act found 8 data including 7 data commissive promise and 2 data swear commissive 2 data. In expressive speech acts found 26 the data, which is containing 2 data expressive praise, 2 data expressive thanked, 11 data is expressive criticize, and 11 data is expressive complaining.
