Abstract
ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini berjudul “Alienasi Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Et Dieu seul sait comment je dors karya Alain Mabanckou. Tujuan dari penyusunan skripsi ini adalah mengungkapkan adanya kondisi alienasi yang dialami tokoh utama, penyebab-penyebab terjadinya alienasi, serta dampaknya terhadap tokoh utama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu metode yang menggunakan penguraian dan penggambaran peristiwa-peristiwa penting untuk dianalisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori struktural karya sastra dan teori psikologi-sosial mengenai alienasi menurut Melvin Seeman. Teori struktural karya sastra yang digunakan terbatas pada teori tokoh, latar sosial, dan sudut pandang. Skripsi ini terdiri dari lima bab. Bab pertama berisi pendahuluan, bab dua berisi tinjauan pustaka, bab tiga berisi objek penelitian, bab empat berisi analisis, dan bab lima berisi simpulan dari analisis yang telah dikaji. Dari seluruh rangkaian analisis ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alienasi dapat menimbulkan pengaruh buruk pada diri seseorang secara psikologis dan sosiologis. Adanya kondisi alienasi dapat membuat seseorang tidak damai dan tidak bahagia menghadapi kehidupannya.
ABSTRACT
This thesis entiteld “The alienation of the main character in Et Dieu seul sait comment je dors novel by Alain Mabanckou”. The purpose of making this thesis is revealing the condition of the alienation which experienced by the main character, the causes of alienation and its impact on the main character. The methodology applied in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis method, that is the method that uses the decomposition and depiction of important events to be analyzed. This research uses structural theory of literature and the social-psychological theory of alienation by Melvin Seeman. Structural theory of literature that is used in the research is limited to the theory of character, social setting, and viewpoint. This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter contains an introduction, the second chapter contains a literature review, the third chapter contains the explanation of the object of research, the fourth chapter contains the analysis and the fifth chapter contains the conclusion of the analysis that has been studied. The result of the research can be concluded that alienation can cause a bad influence on a person psychologically and sociologically. The existence of alienation condition can make a person not feeling peaceful and not happy to face his life.
